You can have too much of a good thing, but you can't have too much 'Dance Release!'

We were thrilled with the floor-filling club stomper that Dean Zepherin and Mr V produced which became our 50th release on Tribe Records, as well as the remix by the legendary David Morales, but we also knew from playing 'Dance Release' in clubs (and beach parties) across Europe, and reading the DJ reports from around the world, that this was a record whose appeal could be enhanced by a couple of new interpretations. 
Zepherin Saint gave the original a khalegi rhythm and a fabulous Afro-house vibe, David Morales pumped it up with a very percussive, driving version and now we've got these!
Based in Essen in Germany's Ruhr region Manuel Tur has been producing since the early noughties when he was influenced by the likes of Sebastian Leger and Ian Pooley. He's been releasing ever-more accomplished deep, atmospheric, underground house, while also starting his own label, Smokestack Recordings. His 2009 debut album '0201' (Freerange) avoided the minimalism its name may suggest, featuring filtered French disco house, soulful US-style songs, lush deep house and even broken beats, earning it 10/10 in IDJ. His 'Dance Release' remix is a subtle beast, boasting a lovely synth melody that builds slowly and erupts suddenly midway through the track. We love it. 
His biography on Facebook notes happily that Msashi Roski is a 'KZN BANG IT BOY' with intoxicating mixing skills and he doesn't hold back on this remix, with a fierce 'handclap' propelling it along from the get-go. KZN is KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, where Msashi grew up in a township called Kwandengezi and worked his way into the music industry after participating in youth development music projects, then discovering DJing, creating a series of mixtapes, joining the Dustinity Jockerz DJ crew and moving into production. Forget any notions about South African house being all about tribal beats and sweetly soulful balladry, Msashi drops trancey stabs and rumbles that build into an expansive, string-soaked orchestral section followed by breathless beats and those handclaps. It's a journey, alright, and one we hope you enjoy taking as much as we do.
