Let The Music Play - The Remixes From Rhemi Music
DJ Angelo

Marques Wyatt, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jose Marquez, Jazzie B and Danny Krivit are just a few of the DJs who loved DJ Angelo's re-make of Shannon's classic 'Let The Music Play', but we promised you that remixes would be along soon and we're thrilled that Rhemi Music have done the honours.

Neil Pierce of Soul Heaven abnd Hustle Music has history when it comes to successful production partnerships, as he has been one half of the Fanatix duo with Aaron Ross since 2003. He teamed up with 24-year old musician and DJ Ziggy Funk after they hit it off in the studio (remixing Kele le Roc's Friends), combining deep and soulful house flavours with Ziggy Funk's more jazzy influences, and they set up the Rhemi Music label in March this year.

A big, buxom bassline (calling it fat would be rude, right?), handclaps and cowbells set up the vocal and there's liberal use of echo to remind us what a great track this is in their vocal remix, while the instrumental does what the title orders by bringing in strings and chilled, jazzy keyboard riffs, giving plenty of opportunities to stretch this into a real long player when the mood takes you.
